The EastEnders star is in pole position to win the BBC show according to bookies
EastEnders star Bobby Brazier has been announced as one of the many stars joining Strictly Come Dancing 2023 and already looks set to be in with a good chance of winning this year's competition. According to bookmakers William Hill, the EastEnders actor is the favourite to win the Glitterball Trophy.
Bobby was announced as the eleventh contestant to be taking part in the competition and immediately knocked Layton Williams off the top spot. West End star Williams looked set to take home the trophy before Bobby was announced due to his acting, singing and dancing background, reports the Express. The EastEnders star, however, moved Layton off the top as he claimed odds of 3/1, leaving Layton with odds of 4/1. William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “Bobby Brazier has entered the betting for the Glitterball Trophy as the 3/1 favourite, with Layton Williams drifting out to 4/1."Adam Thomas and Zara McDermott are next-in-line with both at 6/1. Annabel Croft knows her way around a baseline but looks a longshot for Strictly glory at 14/1.
When first announced to be taking part in the show, Bobby said: "I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly lineup, I can’t wait to start training like a professional dancer and adding a few moves to my locker.Bobby recently revealed the obscure way that he was preparing for his Strictly stint which included sleeping on the floor.
