James Bye and Amy Dowden discussed their elimination from Strictly Come Dancing, with James revealing that going up against Fleur East was his worst experience.
“It’s horrible, because you feel like you’re competing with someone you’ve gotten really close with,” he explained. “My stomach was flipping and going upside-down. I had to get some air; it really does get to you, they know how to ramp the pressure up.”
Amy revealed that she gave her partner a brief word of encouragement before their final dance, telling him “you’ve got to go out there now and you’ve got to fight”, before reminding him to “have fun.” The pair also discussed Saturday’s routine, which saw them at the bottom of the leaderboard with 27 points for their Charleston on“It’s never a nice place to be, but there’s only so much control you have,” said James. “All you can do is go out there, give it your best and hope you don’t mess up.
