Supporters Trust issue statement after meeting with watfordfc chairman
Watford Supporters Trust last night released a statement outlining the contents of a meeting they had with senior club officials, including chairman Scott Duxbury.
The statement, reproduced in full below, said that Duxbury was “confident with the financial position of the club” and that the Trust would now hold a further meeting with the club’s Financial Director to dig deeper into areas such as debt. The Trust also said that they believe it is “unlikely” that club owner Gino Pozzo will answer supporters’ questions directly.
The statement also references the club’s ‘Supporters Committee’, which it said Watford FC had acknowledged was of “limited value” and they will be looking at ways to ensure a wider range of fan views are represented.
