Officers were responding to reports of the theft of a Ford Focus during a break-in at a property in the west end.
Suspected house raiders lead police on a high speed car chase through the streets of Glasgow before the driver was arrested in the early hours of this morning.
They pursued the car at speed before it stopped in the Temple area and the occupants fled on foot. Officers caught the driver before he was arrested and charged. "While searching the area this Ford Focus was spotting driving away at high speed with no lights and a number of males on board.
