The project said that the plight of those in crisis has been ignored by VIPs and dignitaries at the UN Climate Change Summit in the Scottish capital. A charity working on the streets of Glasgow has highlighted the sharp divide between the homeless and COP26 VIPs Mr McInnes said: ‘Delegates are walking by the soup kitchen all the time as it’s on the way to the train station. It’s horrifying that none of them want to pop by and say hello.

He said: ‘If the delegates all donated the food waste then it would make a huge difference. We would be able to feed more people and they would be able to get a bit of luxury.
