Freckleton takeaway passionately hits back at claim that driver spat on customer's pizza after Ring doorbell footage discovered
A takeaway has passionately disputed footage which a customer alleges shows a delivery driver 'spitting' in a takeaway pizza before handing it over to the customer, with bosses saying the driver was only checking if the food was the right order.
The customer, who does not wished to be named, said he was initially unaware of the incident and did not check the Ring doorbell camera footage at the time. However, it was when he was notified that his storage was full days later, that he checked his videos and saw what he claims to be his food being spat on. He said he did not notice anything wrong with his pizza at the time of receiving his order.
As the video was shared by another friend of the customer, it has gained significant attention, with people questioning whether the driver did in fact spit, or if he was merely checking the food. Lots of loyal customers are siding with the takeaway, claiming that there is no clear proof anything untoward had occurred.
"The customer ordered two BBQ calzones, but instead we sent him a garlic bread with cheese, so he rang us and we sent another driver straight away," they said. "He had three more deliveries in the same direction, so all he was doing was checking the order. There was no sound of spitting, it was the sound of the pizza box sliding.
