Nottingham City Council has deferred making a decision on the latest plans but people in the area say enough is enough
People living in Bulwell say they are opposed to plans for a new takeaway, amid concerns over pollution. A Greggs drive-thru, tanning salon, and a Subway could be built on the site of the former Apollo Hotel in Hucknall Lane.
Nottingham City Council’s planning committee chose to defer making a decision on the plans on June 21, having raised issues with potential pollution. Previously, Labour councillor Graham Chapman said: “I have got a serious problem with the scheme. Engines are going to be ticking over in a way that, if they were on a public highway, it would be illegal.“And they are going to be doing it in close proximity to people’s houses.” In Bulwell, people voice their concerns.
A new independent gym will be coming to Bulwell in Commercial Road where the old Boots once was. Sean Mason, 44 said: “I don’t think a lot of people are going to be happy if the plans do go through.
