Traffic, roadworks, homelessness, potholes, public transport, lack of parking, and numerous “tatty shops” are among the many issues frustrating people in Skegness.
“There is a lot of congestion and Skegness gets gridlocked. It would be good to have a bypass going to Ingoldmells.” These are not the only problems bothering Lauren, who said: “My second issue would definitely be the fact that the government has housed immigrants in Skegness hotels instead of leaving them to the holidaymakers, therefore detracting money that could be made by businesses.
The 55-year-old’s brother is the town’s deputy mayor, councillor Adrian Findley. Donna said her brother plans to tackle two other issues in the town - homelessness and drugs. “My brother is aiming to put forward an anti drugs use campaign to East Lindsey District Council to teach young people about the dangers of drugs.”A 52-year-old father of four who wished to remain anonymous, loves to cycle but says potholes are a big problem in the town.He also highlighted a third issue of"too many tatty shops and charity shops as major retailers have pulled out, including WH Smith, Game, and Trespass.
