Last month, the US union Sag-Aftra confirmed its first major member strike in more than 40 years, after the union and Hollywood studios were unable to reach an agreement. Among the demands being made by the actors are calls for better pay and protection around the growing concerns surrounding the use of artificial intelligence in entertainment.This therefore marks the second time ever in history that both actors and writers have taken strike action at the same time, with the last time simultaneous action took place happening more than 60 years ago.
