The 19-year-old male driver of the Fiesta sadly could not be saved and was pronounced dead the scene.
Emergency services rushed to the A801, between Bowhouse Roundabout and Avon Gorge, around 6am on Monday morning to reports of a crash between an articulated lorry and blue Ford Fiesta.
The road was closed for several hours to allow collision investigators to carry out enquiries at the scene. Officers are now urging anyone with information to get in touch.
