A teenager was taken to hospital following a river rescue in Shrewsbury.
WITH STORY Castle Walk footbridge is celebrating its Golden jubilee on 24 Saturday. The bridge was built in 1951.West Mercia Police said officers responded to a"concern for safety" alert for the female.
Fire crews including the specialist water rescue unit also responded to the emergency and the fire service said it assisted police in a river rescue. A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:"A teenage girl was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment."
