A teenager and a security guard have been attacked in yet another violent Shrewsbury town centre incident.

Police were in Pride Hill, Shrewsbury yesterday after a teenager and a security guard were attacked

The Pride Hill assaults are the latest in a slew of violent crimes in Shrewsbury including the murder of a 23-year-old DPD delivery worker on Monday - although that has nothing to do with the anti-social behaviour which has been going on in the town centre, police have insisted. The dispersal order has been issued under Section 34 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, which makes it an offence for anyone to return to a specific area for up to 48 hours, once they have been required to leave. The authority came into force at 10am this morning.
