An 18 year old male was taken to hospital with arm and shoulder injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon
A teenager was pulled from a car by firefighters and taken to hospital following a crash on a residential street in Burnley.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to Albert Street at around 2.14pm this afternoon following reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said two engines from the town arrived at the scene and used stabilisation equipment to release one casualty from a vehicle.
The 18-year-old male was then placed into the care of paramedics before being taken to hospital with with arm and shoulder injuries. Firefighters were at the scene for around one hour and forty minutes.A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson told LancsLive: "We were called at 14:14 to a RTC involving two cars. We took one patient, a 18 year old male, to hospital with arm and shoulder injuries.
In a statement, LFRS said: "At 14:16 on 19 October, two fire engines from Burnley attended a road traffic collision on Albert Street, Burnley. The incident involved two vehicles. "Firefighters used stabilisation equipment and released one casualty from the vehicle. The casualty was then placed in the care of North West Ambulance Service paramedics.Lancashire Constabulary has been contacted for comment.
