Tenerife is the latest European destination hit by devastating wildfires as huge evacuations take place from the Canary Island.
During a news conference on Thursday, President of the Canary Island, Fernando Clavijo described the fires as "out of control", saying "the scenario is not exactly positive.” The fire has now spread through the ravines and woodland of the Arafo and Candelaria areas of the island along the northeast coast.
The area of the island impacted at the moment is not a popular tourist area, with the southern side the more common holiday spot.
