Empty terraced house plagued by vandals, squatting and drugs to be bought by council
An empty terraced house plagued by vandalism, fly-tipping, squatting and drug use is to be bought by a local authority.
. The move is part of the authority’s Neighbourhood Intervention Project which has seen 30 houses bought by the council. Their report says: “The property has been empty since the last tenant vacated in November 2017 and is currently in serious disrepair. This pre-1919 mid terraced, pavement fronted property is situated in the Ewood ward and is set in a row of two-storey terraced houses built of brick with a stone frontage and pitched slate roofs. This particular property stands in the middle of the row.
