The TDUConnect event did have better news, however, as it also marked the first gameplay footage of the open world racer in action. The main crux of the game will be based around two factions – the Sharps and the Streets – with the former all about luxury and class, and the latter all about the underground racing and street culture. You’ll get to pick which of these two groups you wish to race for at the start of the game, before you head onto the streets of Hong Kong.
Hong Kong will be made up of plenty of different landscapes to race around, including both natural and rugged terrain and the paved city streets. There’ll also be a dynamic weather and time of day system that’ll effect how your chosen vehicle handles when you’re behind the wheel. When you’re not racing around, you’ll be able to interact in the social spaces including The Solar Hotel.
The thirty-minute presentation featured a number of racing influencers plus team members working on the game all driving around the open world and taking part in races, challenges and more that you’ll be able to take part in as part of the game’s mostly open world.
