The motorcyclist was so severely injured that he died at Glasgow Royal Infirmary four days later.

Colin Semple, 53, allegedly ploughed into Alexander McNally, 29, in Glasgow's Parkhead on September 25, 2020.

Court papers stated Semple was driving without due care or attention behind the wheel of a Peugeot Partner van.The charge went on to say Semple drove into the path of Mr McNally who was driving a motorcycle. Allegations stated there was a collision between both vehicles and Mr McNally was thrown from the motorcycle.

The charge said that Mr McNally was so severely injured that he died at Glasgow Royal Infirmary four days later. Semple was found not guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to the single charge and acquitted by Sheriff Joan Kerr.
