The money will ensure the community groups can keep on delivering their services

There are 28 ‘lifeline’ community projects in Nottinghamshire that will receive a share more than £233,500 worth of grants. The community projects will receive these grants in the latest round of Nottinghamshire County Council ’s Local Communities Fund .

The St John Ambulance service, powered by volunteers, has been granted £10,000. The charity delivers youth projects all over the country, supports the NHS, and is dedicated to teaching first aid. The Friends of Woodlands and Coachwood Green will be receiving £20,000. Councillor John Cottee, the county council’s cabinet member for communities, said he was delighted so many groups, voluntary organisations and parish councils applied for funding.
