The Airbnb in Ancoats that's like being in a cave house on a Greek island
With curved doorways, white-washed walls and arches, this unusual Airbnb aims to spirit guests away to the iconic cave properties of the Greek Island - while you are actually in a converted mill in Ancoats.
The Manchester University graduate would invest the money he made from the Airbnb lets into buying new apartments. He would then convert them to give their own individual style. What was formerly a dark, awkward space inside the mill building has been transformed with clever use of light, creating the Grecian details to really open up the space. Named The Santorini Boutique after the iconic Greek island, the design is all a tribute to the striking landscapes of Santorini.
"We designed bespoke furniture for the bedroom and living room, merging functionality with style, and the unique textures throughout the space, such as the specialist microcement flooring, beautifully mimic the rough plaster found in traditional Greek homes." Guests with accessibility issues are warned that due to the "authentic cave style homes commonly found in Santorini, there are areas that are raised with steps to access."
