about a family-run sandwich joint in Chicago that undergoes an unlikely transformation, one stands out more than most.
For what it’s worth, it’s a vivid moment. The stab wound looks painful; the blood appears real. “It’s a pretty intense show,” he agrees., it was also the most gruelling, claustrophobic, and by far the sweariest. And now it’s back for a second helping: more heat, more grease, and more conflict in a tiny kitchen space filled with sharp knives.
“Richie’s just holding on by a couple of fingers, you know?” the 46-year-old says from his hotel suite in New York. “In this season,” he says, “we see Richie not prepared to walk away from the restaurant because there’s no place for him to go. He loves it there. It’s his family, his space. But heAnd how does he do that? “He reads some self-help books.”made for unusual televisual gold because it was all so unglamorous, so unrelentingly tense. Watching it, you could feel the sweat and taste the chip fat.
