It is incredible to think that the story of Buddy Holly is still being told to audiences more than 60 years after his tragic death.despite dying in the infancy of his career at just 22.on Tuesday reminding audiences why this is a story that needs to be told.
His rise to fame is charted through the music he creates as Holly played by A.J. Jenks performs to perfection some of the biggest hits of his short career including That'll Be The Day, Peggy Sue and Everyday. With brief nods to key moments in Holly's life such as his marriage to María Elena Santiago and the momentous occasion he became the first white act to play the Apollo in Harlem in 1957, the audience understands more about who he was and his resulting legacy.
