A murderer, a weeping drug dealer and an 'out of control' thug amongst those jailed in Greater Manchester this week
Also locked up this week was a drug dealer who 'broke down and cried' when he got caught by law enforcers, and a thug who stabbed an escort.
The pair and two others had been involved in a fight inside Wayne's Convenience Store before the shopkeeper ordered the men to leave. As he left, Mr Ali shouted at Khan, telling him: "Get out of the shop now you f****** p****, get out of the shop now I'll f****** kill you". Connor Phelps, 25, strangled the woman and attacked her with a kitchen knife at his home in Bolton in the early hours of May 7. An argument had broken out between the pair after Phelps told the woman he had no money to pay her.
He then retaliated by hitting her with a photo frame and punching her. As the pair grappled, Phelps strangled the victim and took her by her throat onto a sofa. He was extradited back to the UK earlier this year. At Manchester Crown Court yesterday , a judge sentenced Bodill to two-and-a-half years in prison.
He also had an ‘extreme right-wing mindset' and subscribed to emails from Britain First and an Islamic fundamentalist magazine containing instructions on bomb-making, the court heard. In February, a dawn raid was carried out at his home on Winterdyne Street in Harpurhey, Manchester. Bardsley, 34, was arrested on suspicion of the supply of Class A drugs. He also tested positive for drugs.
The 'professional' drug dealer purchased the deadly weapon from fellow criminal Jamaine Salmon. Detectives discovered the image following the law enforcement hack of the highly encrypted EncroChat network, and were able to match it to the fixtures and fittings within Fenton's home.
