The woman had gone to check on her partner Alanazy at his home and he demanded she get cash out for him. The pair then went into Leeds city centre, using a taxi in which Alanazy was abusive. Leeds Crown Court heard Alanazy said he "knew people who would get money out of her" and said he would "chop her up" before asking the taxi driver if he would reverse over her.

Leeds Crown Court heard Hemsley, 27, had arrived at the man's flat demanding money, on December 7. The man refused but Hemsley, of Belle Isle, stayed anyway before stabbing and strangling him. During the vicious assault, Hemsley demanded money before leaving with the victim's bank card which he tried to use.Jack Gibson Gibson was told he must serve a further three years behind bars after being convicted in relation to a stabbing in Leeds where a 32-year-old suffered serious stab wounds.
He was arrested and charged with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, being in possession of criminal property and being concerned in the supply of cannabis. Three days before he was due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court in June 2020, Gibson fled the country. Officers were able to track his movements in Europe after Federal Police in Germany alerted them to his arrest.
