Barbie-makers Mattel won't say how many extra plastic dolls they're making for the movie
Like everyone who grew up with one of these iconic dolls in hand, I’m looking forward to the film and the few hours escapism it will bring. But there’s no denying the mountains of Barbie merchandise the hype has spawned.
Then there are Barbies, Barbies and more Barbies for sale, complete with their houses, cars, vans, jetskis, horses and all the plastic tools of any prescribed trade you could imagine. Toys are made of so many component parts they usually end up in landfill - and Barbies, Kens and their friend dolls are no different.
