The full list of NHS strike dates planned in February and March 2023, as ambulance workers and nurses walk out
On Sunday 19 February, the head of the British Medical Association said the Government is standing on the precipice of a historic mistake by failing to stop strike action affecting the NHS., Professor Philip Banfield, chairman of the BMA, condemned Rishi Sunak and the Health Secretary, Steve Barclay, for refusing to meet the terms of trade unions.
He hit out at a “conveyor belt of prime ministers with empty promises to the people” over the NHS, who have beenAmbulance workers represented by the Unite union are holding four days of strike action in the week commencing Monday 20 February. The walkouts are staggered, with several regions of England and Wales affected first, and staff in Northern Ireland staging strikes at the end of the week.
Unite members in England and Wales have then planned two further walkouts in March, with the full list of dates as below:
