The Watford Observer is delighted to share pictures from the Watford Museum archive and this week we look back at Bucks Garage.
The museum’s volunteer archivist Christine Orchard said: “Bucks Garage was located at 67 The Parade, and I believe it was acquired from an earlier owner in 1926 or 1927, by Mr Stewart F. B. St George.“The High Street at that time was open to traffic and so business for petrol and services would have been very good, especially on market days. “The site was quite large with public parking behind, garage space could be leased and Bucks Express coaches were based here.
