The event will showcase the collection through catwalk shows every hour from 12pm to 4pm, plus other Horrockses-themed activities.Councillor Peter Kelly, the cabinet member for culture and leisure services at Preston City Council, said: “We are delighted to present Harris in the City, an event celebrating Horrockses Fashions, which is an integral part of Preston’s local textile heritage.
“It’s great to collaborate with Joanie Clothing, a fashion brand celebrating the Horrockses legacy and keeping Preston’s history alive in the 21st century.”The Harris is home to the most extensive collection of Horrockses fashions in the UK. As The Harris continues to tell the story of the Horrockses brand in the 21st century – five of the Horrockses Fashions X Joanie dresses will enter the museum’s collection to be preserved for future generations.
