Spain's Queen Letizia Ortiz opted for a blue dress at her daughter Princess Leonor's swearing-in ceremony.
31 October saw Princess Leonor, Spain's future queen, get sworn in to the constitution at a formal ceremony on her 18th birthday in Madrid. Naturally, in attendance at the event was Princess Leonor's mother Queen Letizia Ortiz of Spain, and while it was Leonor's day, we have to say that we noticed Letizia Ortiz's choice of blue for her dress.
Despite the term ‘royal blue’, blue isn't a colour that royals typically wear, though it traditionally denotes authority and trust, making it the perfect choice for Leonor's swearing-in ceremony and allowing for her daughter to take centre stage. Letizia Ortiz's royal blue Carolina Herrera dress is one that the Queen first wore in 2022.
