A win for either Fire or Brave would, however, scupper those hopes.
As you can see above, there are plenty of playoff implications already riding on the remaining matches in the men's competition. Although, there is one more position still to be determined, winners of the wooden spoon!Chris Woakes and the Birmingham Phoenix are in danger of joining the women in finishing bottom of the men's competition
