About the study In the present study, researchers evaluated the impact of a two-year increase in UPF consumption on the environmental effects of the diet. The study found that T1 participants reduced their intake of red and processed meat, sweets, and pre-cooked products. They also increased their consumption of fruits and vegetables and slightly increased their fish, white meat, and nuts intake.
