The benefit cap will also rise next year.
An estimated 19.2 million families and 39.8 million individuals across the country currently claim State Pension or other benefits from the Department for Work and Pensions , and HM Revenue and Customs .
This will come at a cost of £11 billion to the UK Government, and will see peoples cash boosted by thousands in 2023. The uprating means that on average, a family on Universal Credit will benefit by around £600 next year.The Chancellor has also increased the benefit cap in line with inflation, meaning that more households will be able to benefit from the new payment rates.
