The bothy can be found on the spectacular Isle of Skye
Now that we're in June, it's an ideal time to get out and immerse yourself in the great Scottish countryside. While hikes undoubtedly are a terrific way to see some of the best scenery the country has to offer, some will be keen to go even further and spend a night in a bothy.
If this hasn't put you off, then staying in a bothy can be a rewarding and one-of-a-kind experience. Those who like the sound of it should consider heading to Camasunary.View gallery This bothy is located on the east side of the Isle of Skye, on the Camasunary bay on the Strathaird peninsula of the island. 'Camasunary' is the Scots form of the Gaelic name 'Camas Fhionnairigh', which translates to 'Bay of the White Shieling'.
There is also spectacular views out across the bay from inside the bothy. If you're a keen hiker, the area offers easy access to the Skye Munros, as well as countless other scenic walking routes.
