The band last played a Scottish gig in 2011, on July 9 that year at T In The Park
Fans of American indie superstars The Strokes have packed out TRNSMT's front of stage area - as the band made its first return to Scotland in 11 years to the day.
Frontman Julian Casablancas strutted out on stage and yelled to thousands of screaming fans: "Good morning! It's been a while!" One in the crowd shouted back: "Eleven ******* years!" The Strokes broke onto the scene as an early success of the early-2000s indie rock revival. Following a period of success that saw them release albums Room on Fire and First Impressions of Earth, the band entered a hiatus and wound down the number of live shows they played.
