Meryl Williams, the winner of The Traitors, spoke exclusively about her experience being diagnosed with achondroplasia, the most common type of dwarfism. She shared her journey of misdiagnosis and the importance of connecting with dwarfism charities for support and understanding.
The Traitors winner Meryl Williams stole hearts across the nation when she appeared the hit BBC show last year.
"I was born in 1996, which is obviously quite a while ago and South Africa wasn't as advanced in the medical field as the UK at the time. She added: "I'm actually friends with a couple of you post my condition now. It's good to like touch base to like, be able to share similar experiences that we all will understand.
She said: "Both my primary and high school experiences were totally fine. I don't want to say I was 'lucky' not to be bullied - you shouldn't be lucky to not get bullied - but I was actually very fortunate that it was all easy going.
