Netflix's The Watcher tells the story of the Brannock/Broaddus family, but who is the Watcher who sent the letters and what happened next?
It told the tale of a husband , his wife and their children who, after buying their dream home in the suburbs of Westfield, New Jersey, found themselves receiving anonymous letters from someone who presented themselves as simply"The Watcher".
"I have been put in charge of watching and waiting for its second coming," the author of the letter went on to say."My grandfather watched the house in the 1920s and my father watched in the 1960s. It is now my time." They got in touch with the family that had sold them the house, who said they had themselves received a letter from"The Watcher" just before they moved out, but that they had not received anything before that in the 23 years that they had lived at the address.Both Derek and Maria got in touch with the police at the time that the letters started appearing.
Michael passed away in 2020, and his family has since spoken out to defend him against the accusations., before later adding:"We got accused of doing something that we didn't do."
