As Kremlin denies claims of any involvement in the death of the Wagner Group boss, UK defence sources claim the aircraft was “most likely” brought down by Russia’s FSB domestic intelligence agency
As the two-month mark approached since Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin launched his failed rebellion against Vladimir Putin, the warlord wanted the world to know he was back in action overseeing the mercenary group’s lucrative operations in Africa.
“But this disagreement with Putin is silent both among the people and within the Kremlin’s inner circle. Putin has once again demonstrated what happens to you if you show such disagreement. “Right now, of course, there are lots of speculations around the plane crash and the tragic deaths of the passengers of the plane, including Yevgeny Prigozhin,” said Petrov.
There have also been reports of a second plane behind the one that crashed that was zig-zagging through the sky. “Prigozhin was this really charismatic personality who may have been able to pull this off. If someone could pull it off, it would have been him.Another Russian expert also suggests that the death of Prigozhin, along with his key lieutenants Dmitry Utkin and Valery Chekalov, will have cemented Putin’s position for now.
During the mutiny around 2,000 Wagner troops took the Russian military city of Rostov-on-Don and then marched with 130 miles of the Kremlin before calling off the rebellion.
