Now she wants to support others in the community who are in a similar situationWHEN LINDA Egwuekwe’s father Stanley was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2012 it marked a turning point in her and her family’s life.As the disease progressed, Egwuekwe, her mum and siblings became his primary carers.

“My three siblings, my mum, and me just decided to care for Dad ourselves. Our lives would kind of rotate around him. AWARENESS RAISING: “We need to talk about health issues like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’sso that Black families who are affectedwill feel more comfortable asking for help” says Linda Egwuekwe
