It’s been 14 years since the USC Trojans have been relevant in the national title conversation. Now, No. 4 USC is one win away from earning a trip to the College Football Playoff. AntonioCMorales details how it happened:
There’s been a lot of talk this week about the one-year anniversary of Riley’s arrival. USC is also one year removed from its game against Cal to end the 2021 season.
“Honestly, it ended up being good because those were some of the guys we knew right away weren’t going to be part of the roster moving forward,” the former member of the program said. “And it was great evidence for Lincoln to make a decision on that.
“He probably laid down the accountability and how you’re supposed to be acting as a football player, what’s disciplined inside a program. You could just see it.” “When you have a program and a coach like , you can build a championship culture essentially overnight,” the former member of the program said. “Obviously, it takes a lot of work and the right coaches, the right staff, the right strength staff and all that.”
