A59 New Hall Lane: These were the scenes at a major Preston road after a woman was hit by a car
He said: “The lady who has been knocked over has been airlifted to hospital. It happened around 3pm and the lady who was hit was very serious. The window of the car has been smashed as she hit the windscreen. The car hit was very loud. I just hope she is ok.”Speaking before the road reopened, a spokesperson fortold the Post: “We were called at approx. 3.12pm this afternoon to New Hall Lane. A female pedestrian has been in collision with a car.
In a statement, the spokesperson added: “She has been taken to Royal Preston Hospital with head and leg injuries. The road is closed at the moment while investigation takes place.”
