The mum of a baby boy battling a rare form of cancer said the support of Liverpool FC and the city as a whole was "comforting" for their family.
"Francis was diagnosed with a rare leukaemia: AML. He needs a bone marrow transplant to save his life." An image of the banner was also shared by the club asking for help.Mum Anna told the ECHO that seeing the support from the club was "amazing". The 24-year-old from Walton said: "We're a family of Reds so seeing the club tweet about Francis was incredible. We didn't know about the banner until right before.
Anna said Francis started to come out in strange marks on his body at just six-weeks-old. She took him to their GP with a high temperature - and after initial thoughts were he was suffering from sepsis, tests confirmed he had acute myeloid leukaemia.
