Refugees are welcome - but not at Sadiq Khan's house 'because there isn't enough space'
Thousands gather in the capital to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine amid bloody Russian invasion. London Mayor Sadiq Khan had organised the mass march and vigil, and pledged £1.1m to Ukraine's refugees.
Asked if he would take in a refugee family, Khan said he couldn't over 'protection, security and a lack of space'. So far Transport Secretary Grant Shapps is the only senior politician to commit to welcoming refugee family. Comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for 'unity' across Europe against Russian aggression
