BREAKING: Three dead in the English Channel after hospital was ‘told to clear A&E.'

A major rescue operation was launched this morning, involving the Navy, HM Coastguard, Border Force and Kent Police.Emergency calls reporting a migrant boat in distress were received by the UK coastguard shortly before 3am.Royal National Lifeboat Institution lifeboats were dispatched from Dover, Dungeness, Hastings and Ramsgate alongside coastguard rescue teams from Deal, Dungeness and Folkestone.
Dover MP Natalie Elphicke has said she is ‘very saddened that hear that lives are feared to have been lost’ and has sent ‘thoughts and prayers to all involved’.
