Firefighters raced to the scene after the blaze broke out in Rochdale
Three people have been treated by paramedics after a fire broke out at a flat in Rochdale. Crews raced to the property on Manchester Road after the blaze took hold shortly after 8.30pm this evening.Three people were extricated and have been handed over to the care of the ambulance service, who also attended. No further details about the casualties have been released.The Manchester Evening News understands none of them have suffered serious injuries.
A spokesperson for GMFRS said: “At approximately 8.35pm on Friday 25 August, three fire engines from Bury, Whitefield and Broughton were called to a reports of a fire on Manchester Road in Rochdale. “The fire involved a ground floor flat. Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.“Firefighters remain in attendance at this time."
