Police and paramedics swooped on Velour Close on Friday afternoon
Three people were hurt - one of them seriously - during a 'disturbance' on an estate in Salford on Friday, the M.E.N. has learned.
One neighbour who lives very close to the scene said he was one of the first to call the police following reports of a 'multiple stabbing'. He said following the incident three people got into a white car and left the area.Greater Manchester Police has so far only confirmed officers were called to reports of a disturbance. The force is expected to release more details in the next 24 hours.
In a statement on Friday, Greater Manchester Police said: "At approximately 2.30pm today, Friday 18 August 2023, police responded to calls of a disturbance on Velour Close in Salford. "There is still a scene in place and investigations are ongoing. Anyone who may have information regarding the incident is asked to contact 101, quoting log number 001978-18082023."
