A serial criminal who helped tie up and rob two terrified teenagers in their home has been jailed for four and a half years.

He already had a lengthy criminal record including for similar offences as well as for firearms and crimes of dishonesty. The judge said: "The threats made to about their parents - even if untrue - must have made an already terrifying experience all the more horrific. Anderson, latterly of Larkhall, Lanarkshire, will be supervised for a further three years on his release.
