A video showing the chemical reaction between Irn-Bru and two boiled eggs has gone viral on social media.
The bizarre experiment, which has been viewed more than 57,000 times, shows the eggs turning luminous orange after being steeped in Scotland's favourite drink. "Is that a Scotch egg," a man behind the camera can be heard joking, before thekitchentiktok laughs and states: "I like that one, he'll be here all day, lads."
Incredibly, the formerly white boiled eggs are bright orange, while the liquid appears completely clear. The results indicate that the colour of the Irn-Bru was absorbed by the eggs.
