Conservative MPs will tomorrow launch an unprecedented bid to overthrow an independent inquiry that found the former cabinet ministerThey will seek to avoid imposing an immediate 30-day suspension on the North Shropshire MP by arguing the initial probe by the parliamentary standards commissioner was flawed. They will instead call for a new committee to be set up to review the evidence.
