The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation has given an update for between Sunday (September 24) and Monday
Parts of Nottinghamshire are at risk of 'tornado' as well as heavy rain storms, which are expected to last this evening and into tomorrow morning. 'Extremely high winds' could hit areas of the county,' posing a 'great risk to property,' people have been warned.
"A couple of cold fronts will accompany this, and a surface wave will run NNE across the RoI and N Ireland. Line convection may evolve along the fronts, bringing the risk of strong gusts, given the strong low-level jet just ahead of the fronts. Areas expected to be impacted include RoI, N Ireland, Wales, IoM, parts of the Midlands, N England, Scotland.
