Date published: Monday 24th April 2023 5:41 -Daniel Levy has confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur have sacked interim head coach Cristian Stellini following their “wholly unacceptable” loss to Newcastle.
Tottenham’s woes have continued under the 48-year-old. Under him, they have only won one of their last four Premier League games. Levy – Tottenham’s chairman – has now confirmed that Stellini has “left his current role” and Ryan Mason is “taking over head coach duties with immediate effect”. ‘Cristian will leave his current role along with his coaching staff. Cristian stepped in at a difficult point in our season and I want to thank him for the professional manner in which he and his coaching staff have conducted themselves during such a challenging time. We wish him and his staff well.
