Coutinho hasn’t had much to smile about since joining Barcelona
Brazil midfielder Coutinho’s career has hit the skids since his huge transfer back in 2018 and now finds himself a bench warmer at the Camp Nou, despite once being one of the Premier League’s best players. The 29-year-old has made just 76 LaLiga appearances since his arrival in Spain, scoring 17 goals, while he also spent a campaign on loan with Bayern Munich as the Catalans looked to get his career back on track.
His individual form may not be the best but Coutinho has still won two LaLiga titles, two Copas del Rey, a Bundesliga title, and the Champions League thanks to his involvement with two of Europe’s biggest clubs. Barcelona will hope to get rid of the player sooner rather than later as they attempt to land Alvaro Morata after Juventus decided they didn’t want to activate an option to buy in his loan deal from Atletico Madrid.
